Storyline: Bulgaria, 1930s, small provincial town. Vyara Zadgorska returned to her hometown as a doctor after six years of study in France. Along the way she meets the landowner Assen Valchev, who is fascinated by her, but she is in love with someone else - the lawyer Kiril Donchev.
