Storyline: Alain marries Virginie in the crypt of the Saint-Joseph du Mont-Royal Oratory. It looks like it will be the happiest day of his life – of their life. Everyone is there, the parents of the bride, the great friend, the parents of the narrator – Lebanese from Egypt who immigrated to Quebec thirty years ago, divorced for twenty, who have not spoken to each other for ten. But, as the celebration approaches, Alain is worse than ever. Insomnia is back, anxiety and illness too.
