Storyline: Charles Prince is a gypsy street violinist, whose appreciative audience disappears as soon as he stops playing and passes the hat. He returns home to Gabrielle Lange with empty pockets to a dinner of stale bread and fetid tap water. But an engagement at a celebration offers hope of better times to come.
