Storyline: Abby Brennan refuses to accept the news that her sister Beth is dying. Her last hope: an experimental and expensive treatment she believes could save her sister’s life. To pay for this, Abby takes a job as consulting geologist for a Georgian uranium mine. When she chances upon a rare and mysterious meteorite fragment in the remote taiga, she thinks she has found the golden ticket to Beth’s cure. But on her flight home, the helicopter crashes and she is stranded in the relentlessly cold wilderness. There is a beacon of hope; John, an American pilot whose plane was brought down in the harsh conditions, guides her in his direction through the radio. As Abby fights her way across an unforgiving landscape, she gradually realises that John is not who he claims to be and that he has an ulterior motive…
