Storyline: In July 1990, the military government of Nigeria ordered the demolition of Maroko, an urban slum in the heart of Lagos. The demolition was carried out after a 7-day quit notice announced on radio. It led to the forced eviction of an estimated 300,000 people from their homes. Based on true stories, the film MAROKO is the story of one family whose lives are forever changed by that event.
