Storyline: Pierre, away in the Northland, loves Jeanne. His love is returned and they are engaged to be married. Pierre leaves for a trapping expedition, and in the meantime the girl is enamored with the tales told by Niklo, an itinerant trapper, and becomes infatuated with him.
