Storyline: Louis is a patriarch, gatekeeper, and taxonomist, steeped in a tradition of measurement and naming. The eponymous chevaliere is portrayed collectively by Charlie, Lu, and Andrea, young adults who are under Louis’s watch. They feel themselves limited by his expectations, and are bound to the structure of the Estate. This is a film about leaving home.
