Storyline: The rich and grasping peasant Enya likes the beautiful Tsveta. He is engaged to her with the consent of his elder brother Ivan and his wife Ana. Stanka is a sick, hunchbacked girl, but her father is the richest man in the village. Stanka is secretly in love with Enya. Enyu is obsessed with thoughts about the earth.
