Biography: Herschel Daugherty was an American television and film director, as well as an occasional actor, recognized for his extensive work in television from the 1950s through the 1970s. After graduating from Whittier College in 1934, he attended the Pasadena Playhouse School of the Theater, where he later served as an associate director. Daugherty began his career as a dialogue director at Warner Brothers in 1942 before transitioning to television directing. He directed episodes for numerous series, including Alfred Hitchcock Presents, Star Trek, and The Six Million Dollar Man. Daugherty's ability to handle various genres and his collaborative approach with actors made him a respected figure in the industry.
