Overview: Sumiati meets the wealthy but unrefined Johny while on vacation in Tretes. Even though she reciprocates, she also goes after a younger suitor named Herman. A love triangle ensues and is further complicated when Paimo, Johny’s servant, also takes a liking to Sumiati. When Paimo tries to seduce her, Johny becomes angry and kills him but his ghost returns.

Overview: Don Ateng Singaleon throws a party and the beautiful Dona Vivi attends and immediately gains Iskak Kreolibo’s attention. But the party is disrupted by the arrival of the Kribo tribe who want to seek revenge for an incident at the lake. One day, Papai the sailor appears and he gets along well with Dona Vivi until Iskak becomes jealous. Later, Iskak uses the Kribo tribe to help him get his way. The story itself can be considered superfluous as they merely set up the jokes for the scenes.

Overview: Ateng is spoiled by his grandmother and this troubles his parents since Ateng is a little mentally challenged and needs special education from a teacher. The presence of Iskak, a village kid who is adopted and brought there to accompany Ateng is also a worry as Iskak always has ideas for his own profit. Ateng becomes very dependent on Iskak, so when Iskak is told to leave after he is accused of stealing a neighbor’s watch (though unproven), Ateng is very upset. Then he climbs up a water tower and refuses to come down until Iskak returns.

Overview: Ateng’s tomfoolery saves his employer from a robbery attempt by Bagio and his gang. He succeeds as he knows Bagio’s secret fear of cats. As a result, Bagio constantly targets him especially when he recovers a diamond that Bagio wants. Then Iskak gets a job and falls in love with another servant, Supini. To secure the relationship, Ateng sends a letter Supini’s name to Iskak, and vice versa, thus creating more comedic confusion.

Overview: Mbok Puspo’s cafe, at the edge of Kalimas, under Jembatan Merah or “Red Bridge”, is a meeting place for many. Mbok Puspo also sells rags for additional income while her adopted daughter, Sudiasih, runs the cafe and is the shining beauty of the place. The regulars are Ngawang, a small time thief who fails to make his wife happy; Kenanga, who becomes a prostitute to spite her husband; Siswanto, a student who does not have the courage to confess his love to Sudiasih; Pungguk the painter; a civil servant, and a postman. The love stories between Siswanto and Sudiasih; and Ngawang and Kenang are the central plots. Seeing Siswanto and Sudiasih’s love, Ngawang and Kenanga also find each other. Meanwhile, Mbok Puspo is in a dilemma when she receives a letter from her child, Sri Bidari, who was adopted by a rich family.
