Biography: Ihre sportlichen Ambitionen begann Halmich elfjährig mit Judo. Drei Jahre später wechselte sie zu Karate und Kickboxen, später zum Boxen. Als Amateurboxerin wurde sie drei Mal deutsche Meisterin (1992 bis 1994) und 1994 auch Europameisterin. Ihre boxerische Ausbildung erhielt sie im Karlsruher Bulldog-GYM.
