Overview: Dedi (Dede Yusuf), who married Menul (Ayu Azhari), when they were very young, tries to make a living as a clown at an amusement park. This job does not pay enough for him to make ends meet, so he and a number of his friends try to find a way out of the poverty they are trapped in. The opportunity comes when they find a the wallet of a wealthy man, who is impressed when they return it to him, and provides them with the capital to open a food stall, which they use as a stepping stone toward opening a restaurant. Through this story, the director, Chairul Raya, attempts to depict the way of life of the poor, while using the subplot of the love story between the clown and his wife to display his disdain for the mainstream tendencies in the Indonesian film industry. This film is at once moving and humorous.

Overview: A sad story meant to reduce the audience to tears. The cordial relationship between Irawan (Robert Syarief), the father of Yohana (Nike Ardilla), and Rini (Ade Irawan), the mother of Johan (Rano Karno), is disrupted due to Pak Irawan’s disapproval of the relationship between Yohana and Johan. In the meantime, Johan, who plays music with the older brother of Yohana (Sigit Subangun), attempts to prove that he is worthy of her. He enlists in the Indonesian Armed Forces along with Yohana’s brother. They are sent to East Timor. Just before he leaves, Johan is shocked to find out that Yohana is pregnant from rapes occurring during her recent abduction. Yohana later dies in an accident, but her child survives. Johan requests that his mother, Rini, take care of the infant Yosiana (Fitria Cintania).

Overview: The couple, Rio (Ray Sahetapy) and Anita (Ida Iasha), lives next door to their close friends Goro (Zainal Abidin) and Tati (Dien Novita). Both couples have a male relative living with them; Doyok (Doyok Sudarmadji) stays with Rio and Anita, and Kadir (Kadir) stays with Goro and Tati. The daily behavior and interactions of these neighbors shift when Vina (Nurul Arifin), a very beautiful and attractive friend of Anita’s, comes to visit. Rio and Goro are both very attracted to Vina and make every effort possible to get close to her, particularly when everybody goes off on holiday together.

Overview: Tells the story of Boi, who ends up living with his grandmother on Banda Neira Island after an accident that killed both of his parents. There he must face Dullah, the evil husband of his grandmother's adopted daughter who wants to take over his grandmother's property. Dullah always tries to get rid of Boi and seize his grandmother's property until he finally gets hurt and dies by himself.
