Overview: In SOMBRA [SHADOW], inspired by Alberto Manguel's book "The Library at Night", Teatro da Pombagira talks about Censorship, of knowledge and of bodies; about repression, judgment and necropolitics, immersing the public in an environment that reveals the works which were hidden on the highest shelves, locked or even removed from circulation, whether for their queer, erotic or fanciful content. Throughout the performance, the audience can hear the whispers of excerpts from literary works that have somehow suffered from censorship, while the performers take over the space and create explicit imagery that sometimes collaborates in the staging, sometimes disorient understanding.

Overview: The area around Catalan in Brazil’s state of Goiás is dry, very dry. Sandro’s life here is somewhat monotonous. He works in a fertiliser factory, goes swimming and spends his evenings doing jigsaw puzzles of landscapes. When Maicon, a man straight out of a Tom of Finland illustration, shows up in their small town and flirts with Ricardo, Sandro’s burgeoning feelings of jealousy set a change in motion.

Overview: Inspired by Arthur Rimbaud's utopian poetics, who dreamed of a universal language without words that directly touches the senses, Anatomy of the Faun acts at the limits between theater and performance. It seeks to dissect the infernal seasons and illuminations of the contemporary homoerotic scene. The mythological figure of the Faun, removed from his natural environment and placed in a city like São Paulo, is a guiding thread for this journey through the shadows and articular lights of metropolitan nights. Walking from disease to cure, this Faun is guided to the anatomy of a body that overcomes the failures of our humanity you have consumed.

In view of this, the show created from the performativity in dance proposes to research the philosophical and experiential developments that this situation can generate in our society. Conceived by the Teatro da Pomba Gira Collective, Demons launches to open his sores and see power in the darkness.
