Overview: On 31 January 1968, 31 North Korean commandos infiltrated South Korea in a failed mission to assassinate President Park Chung-hee. In revenge, the South Korean military assembled a team of 31 criminals on the island of Silmido to kill Kim Il-sung for a suicide mission to redeem their honor, but was cancelled, leaving them frustrated. It is loosely based on a military uprising in the 1970s.

Overview: Kang-Il is ice hockey player of K University and he has a lover named Kyeong-Mi. One day, on his way to father's friend chairman Han, he meets Han's only daughter Na-Young. Kang-Il anguishes between ambition and love. Deciding to part with Kyeong-Mi who is already pregnant of his baby, he demands her to abort the baby but she refuses it. Kang-Il goes to the mountain where a lot of good memories were made. In the course of violent quarreling, Kyeong-Mi is killed in a fall because of Kang-Il's violent action. His guilty conscience makes the relationship with Na-Young get worse.
