Overview: During the Wu Zhou period, a popular dancer in Luoyang was unjustly beheaded and turned into an evil spirit, killing a series of people. Dee, the first detective in exile, is pardoned by Empress Wu and appointed as an imperial envoy to investigate the case. However, on his way back to the city, he is unexpectedly assassinated and falls off a cliff. Two people then mistakenly get swapped and the fake Dee (played by Lv Zhaoyuan) is forced to investigate the case under the supervision of the Minister of State, while the real Dee, who is injured and lost his memories, returns to Luoyang by chance and quickly grasps the key evidence of the strange fragrance of the corpse with his investigative instincts.
