Biography: Maria do Carmo Santos Gonçalves, or simply Carmen Santos (Vila Flor, June 8, 1904 - Rio de Janeiro, September 24, 1952) was a Brazilian filmmaker, film producer, screenwriter and actress. She was one of the first women to produce and direct films for Brazilian cinema.
