Overview: Part of the trilogy "A Contraluz", three short films by Eduardo Chapero-Jackson completed with "Lightborne" (2007) and "The End" (2008). Premiered in official selection at Venice and pre-selected for the Oscars, this film whose main character is Macarena Gomez, tells the story of a young woman, obsessed with her appearance, who tries to become a mannequin.
Overview: Louise loved Adam. Adam loved Louise. That is how it used to be. But a child has disappeared. Their child. The police said it was a drowning accident. Overview: Miguel Hermoso's Like Lightning offers a fresh take on a familiar scenario, the teenaged boy searching for his unknown father. He enjoys a comfortable upper-middle class life with his mother (Assumpta Serna), a successful lawyer and former feminist rabble-rouser, but has a gaping hole at the core of his identity: he has no idea who his father is. Preoccupied with the question to the point of obsession, he sets out in search of answers, and finds himself on a trail that leads to the Canary Islands.
Overview: Clari is going out tonight with one objective: hooking up with the Internet date her friend is about to ghost. They spend a night together and he wants to see her again, giving her all the cards she needs to be the object of her friends' envy as he becomes the love of her life. It's all too perfect for Clari not to mess it up.
