Overview: Irene is a magazine editor living under the shadow of the Pinochet dictatorship in Chile. Francisco is a handsome photographer and he comes to Irene for a job. As a sympathizer with the underground resistance movement, Francisco opens her eyes and her heart to the atrocities being committed by the state.
Overview: Telma (Norma Pons) is concerned when her father Salerno dies of a heart attack in a movie theater while watching a film of two thugs beating another man. She believes that there is something more to it, and seeks the help of Deganis (Patricio Contreras), a forensic psychiatrist. Deganis, having found out the names of the two actors doing the beating onscreen, looks one of them up. His name is Walensky (Lito Cruz), and he is looking for Smith (Martin Adjemian), the other actor.
Overview: The Night of the Pencils was a series of kidnappings and forced disappearances, followed by the torture, rape, and murder of a number of young students during the last Argentine dictatorship (known as the National Reorganization Process). The kidnappings took place over the course of several days beginning on September 16, 1976.
Overview: Empty Nest tells the story of a couple who have to struggle to find themselves after their children grow up and move out. It starts out as a fairly simple story of a couple but becomes complicated by a series of events that may or may not be occurring only in Leonardo’s mind.
