Ikko Furuya

Also Known As: Kazuyuki Furuya, ふるや いっこう

Biography: Born in Tokyo. After graduating from Tokyo Metropolitan Itabashi High School , he graduated from the Faculty of Law, Chuo University. While in college, he started his acting life after completing the 16th generation of Haiyuza Training School. Since 1977, he has consistently played the role of Kosuke Kindaichi , the main character in the "Seiji Yokomizo Series /Detective Kosuke Kindaichi Series"; for 25 years from 1982 to 2007, he played the role of Sakon Taro, the main character of the "Mixed bathing open- air bath serial murder " series in "Saturday Wide Theater", and became a hit again. The eldest son is Kenji Furuya , the vocalist of Dragon Ash . His father Furuya appeared in TVCF for Dragon Ash's album " Viva La Revolution " ( 1999 ), and father and son co-starred in the movie "Letters" ( 2003 ), which Furuya starred in and produced.
