Biography: Tamim Abdou is a Tunisian film, stage and television actor. His relationship to acting began with stage productions in his hometown of Siliana, Tunisia, and despite beginning law school in Tunisia, he decided to travel to Iraq to work as a translator, after which he went to Egypt, where he joined the Institute of Theater Actors to train in acting and directing. He also joined Youssef Chahine's production company, where he's worked for 22 years. Over time he rose to production manager there, overseeing foreign films shot in Egypt. Abdou also worked in advertising. His close friendship with Yousry Nasrallah also ended up having great professional benefits, as Nasrallah cast him in several of his most famous films. Abdou has also appeared in shows like "Ahl Cairo" from director Mohamed Ali, in which he co-starred with Khaled El Sawy.
