Biography: George Frederick Mallaby (4 November 1939 - 12 July 2004) was an English-born Australian actor, best known as Detective Peter Barnes (1967-1973) in the long running Australian police drama Homicide. He and his wife Lenice Reed were married for 28 years, having met on the set of Homicide.
