Overview: Albert Hauptmann is an out of work waiter in Cologne who is often confused with a former Captain of the Nazi Army. Albert uses this to his advantage and becomes the Director of the Montan Corporation, and a member of the West German Parliament. Herr Karjanke, the real Captain, learns of Albert’s ruse, and wants to claim his "rightful" position in Parliament. But Karjanke cannot come forward until his politicking "Doppelganger" succeeds in passing an amnesty law for war criminals. When Albert is finally brought before a judge on charges of fraud, he learns that this own amnesty law does not apply to him.

Overview: The friends Jochen and Gerd both work at the fashion boutique "Saxonia", which has only recently designed a new collection. Overview: 13-year old Thomas Berndorf, the son of the rich business man Alexander Berndorf, becomes friends with Hannes Wille, whose father works as foreman. Overview: The girl Marianne inherited a motorboat called “Eintracht” from her parents and struggled to get her to drive it with her uncle. There is a row with the new engineer Michel the evening after the first trip. He leaves - out of jealousy. Instead of him, Marianne takes three funny musicians with her who are looking for work. The trip to Hamburg on the Elbe initially ends on a sandbank, from which another barge, the "Petrel", frees them. Michel has now been hired there. After a few complications and pointless fights, because Marianne has long been in love with Michel, there is the well-deserved happy ending.
