Overview: An all-dog cast (with human voiceovers) recreates famous scenes from early musical films, particularly The Broadway Melody. The finale is a chorus line of dogs performing "Singing in the Rain" spoofing Cliff Edwards' original version of the song in The Hollywood Revue of 1929. Also spoofed is Al Jolson's performance of "Mammy" in The Jazz Singer.
Overview: During anatomy class, students learn that war has broken out. Several enlist and are sent to Camp Poodle, for rookie training. At first the constant shelling bothers them, but within a week they are veterans, unfazed. Barker sort of volunteers to parachute behind enemy lines disguised as a nurse to get the enemy's troop movements. He's captured and sentenced to die, so his mates in the Airdale Army attempt a rescue. Will they succeed?
Overview: This Dogville comedy is a spoof of college football movies. A man in debt to a loan shark uses his daughter to stop football hero Red Mange from playing in the big game between Airedale College and Spitz University.
Overview: This Dogville short takes place at an outpost in the Dogville Foreign Legion. As the story opens, the soldiers watch a newsreel, which includes the opera singer Galli Cur (a spoof of Amelita Galli-Curci) sing an aria. After the show, they go to the local bar and tell each other the stories behind the reason they joined the legion. All the stories are about how women did them wrong in one way or another. They all agree that they are fed up with women, until a certain visitor shows up.
