Biography: Iraj Tahmasb (ایرج طهماسب) was born in 1959 in Tehran. He is an Iranian actor, screenwriter, and director of several TV series and films. He is best known for co-creating the popular puppet character Kolah Ghermezi. His active professional career began in 1979 with stage performances and directing in theatre. Inspired by the revolutionary atmosphere of the period, Iraj Tahmasb staged a number of politically controversial plays including An Eye for an Eye, The Bear That Wanted to Remain a Bear, Olduz and the Crows, A Pair of Shoes for Zahara and A Delicate Story.
