Overview: Boris Petrovich, a modest employee of the registry office, selflessly and creatively in love with his work. All his life he wishes his fellow countrymen health, happiness, good luck on days of celebrations, comforts them in days of sorrow, but remains a kind eccentric for everyone, giving many reasons for jokes and bullying. But three times in a row his evil wishes come true, accidentally dropped from his lips, and Boris Petrovich begins to be feared and respected.
Overview: The bureaucratic epos on the dialogues and plots of Mikhail Saltykov-Shchedrin "The History of a Town". In a metaphorical and grotesque form, the film conveys the history of Russia from the calling of the Varangians until the end of the 20th century. The film traces the change of the “chiefs” of the county town of Glupov, which differ in varying degrees of tyranny and the corresponding total number of “killed” city residents. The heads of the city easily guess the former heads of the Russian state and the USSR.
Overview: A former boxing champion returns to his native town and takes to drink, but finds the strength to stop: he marries and gets a job at a factory. During perestroika he joins the democratic movement. The authorities declare him a rapist.
