Biography: Born in Urawa, Saitama, Japan in 1957. Minoru Shinojima also known as Yamanose Idomu (artist name) is an experimental, documentary and avant-garde filmmaker; photographer and musician from Japan, activist against the mining plan and destruction/explosion of mt. Buko (the mountain of God in the Chichibu region) in order to help the water supply. He first learned about the plan to destroy the summit of mt. Buko in 1979 (the mountain is blasted almost every day even nowadays). Worried about mt.Buko becoming a disposal site for nuclear waste in the future. He is one of the founders of the movement opposing the mountain destruction plan.
