Overview: A young man, Russian by nationality, goes to a Turkmen bride in a remote border village, not knowing that his large family decides to surprise him and also goes to Turkmenistan to meet the bride and her parents. The chain of comic misunderstandings ends with an episode of a skirmish on the border with saboteurs.
Overview: After retiring, former Red Army commander Iskhak Sherov returns to Kyzyltash, the town he helped build. Seeking a peaceful life, he becomes embroiled in a conflict between residents wanting a public garden and the mayor, his old comrade Namazov, who opposes it. Sherov ultimately resolves the conflict in favor of the townspeople.
