Lionel Millard
Also Known As: Lionel MacVicar Millard
Biography: Lionel MacVillar Millard was born in 1900 to Charles Stuart Millard and Florence Margaretta Olivier. By his 20s, he had become a proficient Shakespearian actor, performing The Bard's plays at the Old Vic and on BBC Radio. Due to his theatre and radio experience, he was selected to appear in the BBC's first television drama, an experimental adaptation of Luigi Pirandello's The Man with the Flower in his Mouth. The teleplay was broadcast live on the 14th of July 1930. There is little record of Millard's acting career (if any) beyond this point. He died in November 1983.
