Biography: Dr. Robert ("Bobby") Berman was University College, Oxford's first Fellow in physics. Berman specialized in thermodynamics and was an extremely influential and popular tutor in the college from 1955-83, remarkably tutoring one of the world's most famous physicists, Stephen Hawking.
