Overview: Helen Wahlman is the hostess of a luxury hotel in the mountains. Her husband fled to Chile 15 years ago, after being guilty of fraud, and was killed there. Helen's image of marriage is just dark memories. A few days before Christmas, Helen gets a shock as her husband appears from the dead at the hotel.
Overview: Manager Blom and his family stop at a mountain hotel. Once there, all family members are insolent and even cruel to both guests and staff. When the hotel manager tries to get rid of the family Manager Blom buys the hotel. But all of the staff resigns while a telegram to the family Blom tells them they are ruined! To raise money the family begins to work on and operate the hotel.
Overview: Jan-Erik Widgren meets the lonely Bertha Olsson, a woman struggling with alcoholism. Though Bertha is already linked to Caligula, Jan-Erik's heartless teacher, she begins a relationship with the boy anyway. When Caligula learns that Jan-Erik is having an affair with Bertha, he begins to torture his student psychologically. He reserves his cruelest behavior for Bertha, however, which results in a tragic turn of events.
Overview: A waitress finds out that her fourteen year old brother is a member of a youth gang doing burglaries in kiosks. Valdemar Jansson escapes prison and seeks out his fiancee Karin, but she does not want to know about him. She studies at the Social Institute and provides herself as a waitress in a cafe. She lives with her grandmother and her younger brother Benke. One day she discovers that Benke belongs to a boy, who makes minor burglaries in newspaper kiosks.
