Biography: Bete Mendes, stage name of Elizabeth Mendes de Oliveira (Santos, May 11, 1949), is a Brazilian actress and politician. She began her artistic career on TV Tupi, until moving to Rede Globo, where she played several prominent roles such as O Rebu (1974), O Casarão (1976) and Sinhazinha Flô (1977).
