Igor Stravinsky

Also Known As: Ігор Стравінський

Biography: Igor Stravinsky was a Russian composer, conductor and pianist. He is regarded as one of the most influential 20th century composers. His ballets The Firebird, Petrushka and The Rite of Spring, originally produced in Paris by Sergei Diaghilev, garnered him international fame. The latter ballet famously caused a riot in the audience, that is wrongly attributed to its unusual artistic approach. It was, in fact, a pre-organised ambush by anti-Diaghilev forces.
