Blockbuster's DVD rental service offers both in-store and mail rental options, each with its own benefits and drawbacks. Renting by mail eliminates late fees, but Blockbuster’s website still imposes daily charges if items are returned late, along with a potential replacement fee if items are not returned. In-store rentals may incur additional fees, but they allow immediate access to movies. Subscribers can maintain a queue online for continuous delivery of movies and return items at local stores where possible. Blockbuster offers three subscription plans with different pricing based on the number of movies rented at a time: $9.99 for one, $14.99 for two, and $19.99 for three. Despite competition from Netflix and Redbox, Blockbuster remains a viable option for movie and game rentals.
